In 2007, I bought a Sigma SD14 and 17-70 lens. The Foveon sensor in the Sigma has rich colors and great dynamic range, and the images are particularly sharp due to there being no need for an anti-aliasing filter.

In early 2008, I purchased the Sigma DP1, because I wanted to have a camera with me at all times; but, up until the now discontinued DP1, no compact had the image quality of a DSLR. In late 2010, I purchased a Sigma DP2s and this presently is the camera I shoot with 99% of the time.
